Very disappointing

So we downloaded this app hoping to test if it can replace our regular baby monitor during a weekend stay at the in-laws. After pairing the two devices, we found out we just got 30 min trial period. The time was up so quickly and when we tried to reconnect it, we got a warning saying, trial time remaining 1:00 hour and a countdown started. We were unable to reconnect and the minute countdown kept going down.
So basically, you get 30 minutes trial then will have to purchase the full version.
I didnt get enough time on the app to even know if I want to upgrade.
